Right of Light Consulting is a leading Chartered Surveying practice that specialises in rights of light and planning matters.
Established in 2003, we owe gratitude to our clients and industry colleagues, many of whom we have grown alongside. We pride ourselves on our broad project portfolio which covers domestic extensions and small housing projects as well as landmark buildings and major regeneration schemes.

A right to light is a civil matter and is separate from daylight and sunlight as considered by Local Planning Authorities. Rights of light must therefore be considered even if the planning permission has been granted. Rights of light can affect both domestic and non-domestic properties – even non habitable rooms are capable of enjoying a right of light.

Quality of service : Company offered helpful suggestions on several occasions on the telephone. I have arranged for their Surveyor to visit my property on 3rd March to assess the impact of a neighbours extension on my Right to Light issues.
Value for money : I don't know yet, as the issue is still ongoing!
Professionalism : As above, I have yet to meet their Surveyor so cannot answer this question.
