Supplier Feedback: I choose philip because his survey report format is so easy to read comparing to 70 pages report by big companies. Initially we were going to purchase a 1930s semi detached property but he made an expert job to identify a structural issue so we were too happy getting informed about it which leads us to pull out and it was really tough but also correct decision. Promptness of response :  Their surveyor Phil sent me a personal introduction and his current prices. Quick follow up site visit agreed and completed.
Quality of service :  Upon seeing the area of concern he promptly informed me he did not see it being of any major structural fail but a minor settlement or maybe flexing of the RSJ above the ceiling. This was followed by a fairly quick look upstairs in the room above the RSJ and also a few minutes in the garden looking at the exterior of the upstairs wall. Phil took a few photographs maybe 4. Start to finish the visit lasted approximately 20 minutes.
Value for money :  I knew the cost of this specific structural survey was £295 inc vat and knowing this I accepted the contract. I promptly paid in full and imediately got the report by email. However, I have found myself feeling this was a high cost for the amount of time and effort Phil invested in this particular case. As the findings were so readily apparent to Phil, his report is therefore a very simplistic 1 pager. Whilst the set price is clear at £295 it might be seen as a good gesture to have afterwards make some allowance for this type of scenario.
Professionalism :  Throughout Phil was excellent. Email, phone and in person. Laughable ! I could almost have felt better if Phil had found some issues :-)
