Quality of service :  After checking about seven others I selected Alexander Dawn Ltd from the local area and Russell seem to have the most experience for the L3 building survey. Being an oldish building I was expecting some issues but did not want to see drone footage of the roof. The report was produced six days after the inspection and quite detailed with pictures and many points picked up (119 pages).
Value for money :  Being a sole practitioner his pricing was competitive, There was one quoting a lot lower than Russell but had some bad feedback and not local.
Professionalism :  All communication was with email although I would have liked some telephone interaction as stated in his emails. Job was completed within the time period and I am satisfied with the report.

We were looking for a surveyor to do a structural survey on a house we are purchasing. We were really pleased with the service Russ provided. He was very quick to reply to our emails, and was able to book the job in very quickly. After conducting the survey, he phoned us to give us an -in-depth run-down on the issues he had seen. Promptness of response :  Russ phoned me within half an hour of my registering my inquiry and he asked for the post code so he could look at the property on Rightmove and then followed up with a thorough email explaining his services.
Quality of service :  He arranged with the owner to visit the property the following week and presented a very thorough and excellent report with lots of photos within a couple of weeks.
Value for money :  Very reasonable price, the second cheapest that I was quoted.
Professionalism :  Russ kept in touch by email and updated with a timescale for producing the report following his visit.
